what is a cell phone u can get WITHOUT a plan under 100$??

A. truthfully, you did not give enough information, I'm not sure if you want a plan or prepaid. If you're gping on a plan, for no contract you can get a really cool Sony ericsson with VGA camera, MP3 player, FM radio and a lot more for under $200. (remember that's no contract) http://www.rogersplus.ca/wireless/wireless_phone.asp?phone_id=92 <-- there's the link !

A. Have you checked out Metro PCS? They advertise unlimited calling plans as a basic service.

What kind of technology do cell phones use to store the information contained in them such as names and # ?
Q. What is this kind of storage called? In computers permanent or stored memory would use flash or ram technology, so in cell phones what is it? Like for example when you store a name or number in your cell phone?

A. Cell phones, like computers, use RAM memory for fast temporary storage. We call it volatile memory, because the data is lost once it stops receiving power.

For permanent storage in cell phones, ROM (read-only memory) is used. We call this non-volatile memory because a sustained charge is not needed to store data.

RAM and ROM are both in grid configuration.

RAM memory uses transitors to control access to capacitors at each intersection in the grid. Ons are your 1s, offs are the 0s.

Diodes are used in the ROM memory grid to either connect lines (1) or disconnect lines (0)
