Is it true that Cell Phones are Killing bees?

Q. I was in class and my professor told me that waves and technology from a cell phone messes up a bees navigation system so they can't find their way back to their hives, back to the queen and the eggs. Is this true?

A. Good Lord! Is that professor behind the times. That was one of the first suggestions and it came from a journalist, not a biologist. It was also cell phone towers, not the cell phones. Did he thing that the bees were spending so much time on their cell phones while flying that they flew into things?

Nobody has come up with a definitive answer to CCD but apparently stress, viruses, ans pesticides can all play roles in the problem. One argument in favor of this is that wild hives seem to be having the least trouble and traveling hives (used for crop pollination), the most.

I feel awful... I am currently ending my subscription to SPRINT if this is true

A. Currently 3 theories are being explored:
cell phones
gm plants
a bee virus that has actually appeared before

None of the 3 have been positively confirmed as the cause yet.

Why does the news lie to try to scare us?
Q. I try not to watch, but the headline during the Simpsons commercial said.... "tonight at 10:00, see why anarchists can take over our government" and "cell phones killing off all the bees, only bread and water to eat if it keeps up" How many millions belive this crap? and why are we all raised to be scared of everything?

A. People now days believe almost anything they hear on t.v.
If people are scared then they want to listen in to find out how to prevent it. Its simple scared the public into a fright that they must watch your show.
