If there we're 15 students in a grade with cell phones in the year 2000 and it increases by 20% eac-?

Q. each year, how many students in that grade will have a cell phone in the year 2007? and PLEASE include detailed instructions on how you got the answer! I have tons of questions like this and no idea how to solve them, the test is tomorrow! HELP ME!

A. it is exactly equivalent to a compound interest q
with a principal of 15 & interest @ 20% p.a.

# of phones in 2007 = 15*(1+0.2)^7

= 53.74 => 54

What year did the first cell phone come out in NZ?
Q. We were wondering when the first cell phone came out in new zealand for a school project.

A. Im from New Zealand and worked in Telco for many years!

The phone was first out in NZ in 1996 but became more popular in about 2000 when all the teenagers wwere getting them and now they are more popular then ever!

Little facts for you.....
1. With NZ being the highest texting country in the world with more then 220,000 texts sent every 20 seconds!!!!!! with a country of only 4 million thats amazing!
2. There are only 3 teleco companys in the NZ Telecom (the biggest) and then Vodafone and the smallest is a new company been out for maybe a year called 3c
3. The numbers either start with 027, 021 or 022

Good luck with that school assignment

What will we accomplish in the 21st century?
Q. Comparing the year 1900 to the year 2000 is like night and day. Will the 21st century achieve and invent as many things as the 20th century did? What will the year 2100 look like?

A. I think that Europe may begin to start to unite - minus switzerland and any other neutral country in Europe.

Cell phones will be in charge of almost everything - then something will go horribly wrong and we will have to balance the responsibilities a phone has.

Games at the Olympics will exist in schools as activities.

And hopefully we might colonize the moon
