Are laptop batteries prone to cause cancer?

Q. The question stemmed that doctors advise cell phone users to switch ears every ten minutes since the battery radiation from using a cell phone is harmful and might be the source to those outbreaks of brain tumors of years passed. Given that Laptops use a battery for the portibility and give of heat and possible radiation wouldn't people be at risk for testicular or ovarian cancers?

A. Anything that introduces an Electromagnetic Field near a human can be potentially harmful healthwise.

Is this true about keeping a cellphone in your front pocket?
Q. My friend takes a childcare development class and she said they told her the waves sent out by cellphones can ruin your ovaries or your sperm and deform your babies if you keep it in your front pocket. Is this true? It sounds like something in a chain email or something but that's what they told her in class so I've become more cautious about where I keep my phone. So is it true??

A. its true... cell phones in pockets can cause damage to testes and ovaries... next tot eh ear can cause nerve cells to be damaged, thus causing brain cancer....

BUT, what the study doesnt state, that your cell phone/smartphone must be near the affected area... constantly... without being powered off... not being moved... for 5 years... then you'll started noticing brain/testicular/ovarian cancer cells.............

same with TV/plasma tv sets... sit in front of a TV for 5 years non-stop, and you'll get cancer... LMAO..

drink 100+ gallons of diet soda (or anything with artifical sweetner like Sweet Low or Equal) a year and you can get cancer (due to the aspertame)

smoke 52 pounds of marijuana in 1 sitting... and you'll die ... due to an overdose of THC

so... are you gonna wear the same pants... have the cell phone in the same area............ for 5 years????? Gotta love the media!

Does having your cellphone in your front pocket give you testicular cancer?
Q. is it better in the back pocket?

A. I've checked the subject. A cell phone radiates, and though there is still a wide debate as to what this radiation does to the body exactly, there is no doubt that it affects live tissue.

The thing about radiation is that it diminishes in a square proportion to the distance, i.e. when the phone's 5cm next to your body you'll get 4 times as much radiation than when it's 10cm. So a small difference in the distance can make a big difference in the radiation magnitude. Now, when the cell phones in your front pocket most of the day, it's pretty darn close to your testicles. If you put it in the back - it'll be radiating on your a-- the whole day. Which part is more sensitive to the radiation? Go figure.

A better solution would be to carry the phone in a handbag or backpack, and when you're indoors put it on a piece of furniture away from your body. This way you're effectively increasing the distance by a lot, which should keep you safe.

By the way, this all refers to where to keep the phone while it's idle, a state in which it radiates more sporadically. Another major concern should be radiation during conversation, and to the best of my knowledge, corded earphones do NOT prevent radiation. So it's either bluetooth (weak, short-distance radiation), speaker, airtube headphone or something else I havn't heard of.
