Can i get a cell phone from verizon wireless without a 2 year contract & use a family plan?

Q. I am wanting to get a cell phone from verizon wireless without a two year contract thing and use a family plan, is this possible in any way? How do i do this? And without having to buy another cell phone, only buying one?

A. If you go to a corporate store they may let you sign up for a one year contract, but the phone will be about $50 more.

I have been told it is possible, although difficult because the salesman makes little or no commission, to get a no contract plan, but you don't get free weekend minutes or unlimited IN calling, these are contract "promotions". You also have to pay full retail for the phone.

Can verizon cell phones call verizon home phones for free?

There has to be an easier way to transfer this personal data. Can I take a UBS cord and plug it from the phone to the PC and transfer the data?

A. Your Razr should have Bluetooth capabilities. You can purchase a Bluetooth connector (put it into a USB port) and transfer that way, phone to PC. No need to buy additional software -- it comes with the connector.
